In the spirit of the season of generosity and care, the Likko-led-executive committee of the Muslim Lawyers Association (MULAN), FCT-Abuja Branch has distributed cash of NGN 50,000.00 to needy members of the branch, and some identified widows in need of a special aid. This is a demonstration of unity and support that is known with the holy month of Ramadhan.
“This special aid is one of the programmes outlined for this year’s Ramadhan activities. It is the first of its kind, and we hope to sustain it going forward.”, the chairman said.
The special aid programme focuses on the young and vulnerable members of the association, who had shown financial responsibility, eligibility and has applied for the benefit.

Our report gathered that each beneficiary received a financial assistance of ₦50,000.00 while some accompanied by distributions of 50Kg bag of rice to further alleviate the economic pressures faced during this period.
This benevolent act follows closely on the heels of MULAN’s annual Ramadan Iftar, held at the prestigious A-Class Park in Maitama, FCT-Abuja. That event not only provided an opportunity for communal breaking of the fast but also reinforced the association’s commitment to the welfare of its members.
Some members who benefited from the programme have expressed profound gratitude for the association’s timely intervention. A member remarked, “Your generosity and dedication to the welfare of members during these trying times are truly commendable. This gesture has not only provided financial relief but has also reinforced the spirit of brotherhood and support within the association.”
Another member conveyed appreciation, stating, “Salam alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu, this is to acknowledge the receipt and appreciate the executives of MULAN for the special aid.”

MULAN’s initiative aligns with broader efforts within the Federal Capital Territory to support vulnerable populations during Ramadhan. For instance, in previous years, the FCT Administration distributed food items to orphanage homes.
MULAN’s dedication to fostering unity, providing support, and uplifting its members during Ramadhan exemplifies the core values of compassion and community inherent in the holy month of Ramadhan.
