
The Chairman of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, Likko, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to His Lordship, the Administrator of the National Judicial Institute (NJI), at the Institute’s Headquarters in Abuja.
During the visit, Chairman Likko formally informed His Lordship of his appointment as the Chairman of MULAN FCT and sought the Administrator’s support, counsel, and collaboration in further strengthening the association and advancing the objectives of the legal profession.
In his remarks, the Chairman emphasized the need to build on the solid foundation laid by past MULAN leaders, ensuring the association continues to play a pivotal role in the development of the legal profession and the promotion of justice in Nigeria. He acknowledged the critical role of the National Judicial Institute in legal education and judicial excellence, noting that closer collaboration between MULAN and the Institute would foster professional growth, capacity building, and ethical leadership among legal practitioners.
Chairman Likko expressed his deep appreciation to His Lordship for the warm reception and invaluable guidance offered during the visit. He reaffirmed MULAN FCT’s commitment to working closely with the National Judicial Institute to enhance legal training, promote adherence to the rule of law, and uphold the highest standards of the profession.
In his response, His Lordship commended Chairman Likko on his well-deserved appointment and assured him of the Institute’s willingness to support initiatives that align with the continuous development of the legal profession. He encouraged the MULAN leadership to remain steadfast in their dedication to service, emphasizing the importance of mentorship, professional ethics, and unity within the legal community.
Chairman Likko concluded his visit by expressing gratitude for the Administrator’s wise counsel and pledged to foster stronger ties between MULAN and the National Judicial Institute for the collective progress of the legal profession in Nigeria.
