The Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN), FCT Abuja Branch, has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the learned Silk, Sunusi Musa, SAN on his appointment as the new Director General of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR). Beyond the courtroom accomplishments, the Learned Silk has contributed significantly to National Reforms and Policy Development. He played an active role in the conceptualization and drafting of key legislative instruments, including the transformative Not Too Young to Run Act, which has reshaped Nigeria’s political landscape by empowering young people to participate in governance. He has also served as a consultant to the 9th Senate Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution, demonstrating his capacity to engage with complex governance issues and proffer innovative solutions.
His commitment to mentorship and education is equally noteworthy. As Chairman of the Governing Board of the Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, he has devoted time and resources to nurturing the next generation of lawyers and leaders, underscoring his belief that building strong institutions requires building capable people.
